The publishing and investment conference group, The Inside Network, has added another title to its list with the purchase of the premier newsletter in the Institutional market space, Investor Strategy News (IS|N).

The Inside Network, the brainchild of Jamie Nemtsas and Drew Meredith, caters for the retail investor market with ‘The Inside Investor’ and the advisory market with ‘The Inside Adviser’ publications, and now aims to target the institutional market with IS|N.

Current IS|N publisher, trade media veteran and former AFR Business Editor Greg Bright will continue to edit the publication in 2020 and 2021, after which he will scale back his contribution.

Meredith says: “This is an important acquisition for The Inside Network, allowing us to cater for the three pools of capital in the Australian market – institutional, wholesale and retail.

“We have taken important steps since launching The Inside Investor and The Inside Adviser to provide relevant news, analysis and commentary for these two important segments of the financial markets, and now we intend to do the same for the institutional market. Across the three publications, we will reach about 85,000 readers and that number excludes the 102,000 monthly unique readers of Rask Media.”

Earlier this year The Inside Network partnered with Rask Australia, a diversified news, research, financial education and investment podcast network founded by one of Australia’s most recognised financial educators, Owen Raszkiewicz. Rask Australia complements The Inside Networks current retail investor publication ‘Inside Investor’ that is distributed to nearly 50,000 High Net Worth investors and SMSF Trustees.
The Inside Network has also has signed an exclusive agreement with the UK-based Savvy Investor involving joint promotion, data and content share.

Nemtsas says: “Greg has an impressive journalistic track record. I admire his ability to not only analyse current issues but to put them into a historical context – something that’s often neglected in today’s frenetic world of journalism with its focus on being first to post a story. We are excited to be working with Greg to build on the solid foundation he has laid to build an ever-better product for the institutional market.”

Bright said it would be good to work with an enthusiastic team in a new business which had a great deal of potential. He said: “While I will be contributing across the business, on both the two other titles and the investor-related events, I will be focused on Investor Strategy News, as I have been for the past several years and continue to do my best by the readers.”

Nemtsas adds that The Inside Network will consider adding other titles to its stable – but there needs to be a clear benefit to the reader, who is the number one priority.
Aside from the publications, clients of The Inside Network can reach important decision makers via its conference program, academy program, EDMs, video interviews, podcasts, virtual events, meetings and industry promotions.
