Leigh Cronin, the co-founder of Fairview Equity Partners, has announced his resignation. Fairview was launched in 2008 by Cronin, Chris Adams and Michael Glenane, with NAB holding a minority interest. Adams left in 2016. In a note to clients, Morningstar says: “This announcement signals a lack of business stability, which doesn’t bode well for investors.”
Following AMP Capital’s promotion of Simon Warner to the role of head of public markets in October, the group has appointed Ilan Dekell to take over portfolio management of the AMP Capital Australian Bond Fund. The role of head of fixed income has been taken over by Grant Hassell.
Mark Lumby has been appointed fund manager of Australian Unity Office Fund, replacing Grant Nichols. Lumby has been with Australian Unity since 2011 and was most recently head of commercial property.
Centuria Property Funds has appointed Grant Nichols as the fund manager of Centuria Metropolitan REIT. Nicholas has been in real estate and funds management for 16 years, with roles at AMP Capital, Investa Property Group and Australian Unity Office Fund.
AMP’s new chief executive, Francesco De Ferrari, started work at the embattled wealth management company this week. He takes over from Mike Wilkins, who has served as interim CEO since April. De Ferrari spent 17 years with Credit Suisse in Asia and Europe, including seven years as head of its Asia Pacific private banking business.
SuperConcepts chief executive Natasha Fenech has announced her resignations after five years at the head of the group. Fenech is moving to another senior role in the financial services industry.
