People: Ethics strategist in demand

Clare Payne

Ethics strategist Clare Payne has joined EY as an EY Fellow for Trust and Ethics. She will work with clients on their responses to failing community trust in Australian institutions. She is currently the chief of global strategy for Tobacco Free Portfolios. She is also a Vincent Fairfax Fellow for Ethics in Leadership at the University of Melbourne. She was recognised as a World Economic Forum Young Global Leader in 2014 and an Australian 100 Women of Influence in 2016. She is a former employment lawyer.

The Financial Planning Association has appointed Ken Whitton to the newly created role of professional practice manager. His focus will be on the FPA’s Professional Practice program, developing referral programs to connect Australians with CFP professionals. Whitton has 13 years’ experience as a CFP professional and 20 years’ experience in financial planning and super funds management.

International payments company OFX Group has appointed Sarah Webb as president, UK and Europe. Webb joins from Barclays, where she was managing director, global payments networks, at Barclaycard. She has also held a senior role at American Express.
